Valerie Anne Bertinelli (born April 14th, 1970) is an American writer and actress. Two-time Golden Globe Award winning star gained notoriety with her roles in the CBS show One Day at a Time in the role of Barbara and Hot in Cleveland when she played Melanie Moretti. From her teens, the actress has developed into a strong character actor. At the age of a little girl, the friendship she formed that she had with the daughter of TV producer ignited a lifetime fascination with the field. Bertinelli decided then to make acting a profession. Bertinelli as a teen who attended Tami Lynn School of Artists Tami Lynn School of Artists and began her career in the television industry.
