Valerie Anne Bertinelli (born April 14 1970) is an American writer and actor. Two-time Golden Globe Award winning star earned her name by playing the lead in the CBS show One Day at a Time, as Barbara and Hot in Cleveland. As a teenager, she began acting and has since developed to become a seasoned character actor. As a young girl she made a connection with the daughter a TV producer. This connection sparked her curiosity about the entertainment business and led her to decide to become a professional actor. Bertinelli was able to begin her career as a TV host following her education at Tami Lynn School of Artists.
